Many of us have a big idea for how we are going to make it, and we have some understanding of the skills we will need once we are there. However, sometimes we don't bother to perfect those skills before we make it, since we "don't want to waste our time" in case we don't make it. This explains why some people's success is short lived, as they don't have the skills necessary to hold on. It also explains why many people never make it at all, since they don't have the skills needed to make it in the first place. You must get ready to make it before you make it, if you are going to make it and stay there."
